I am very skilled, and experienced with different types of cranes, Forklifts & equipment. I have since retired from the offshore industry. I am seeking a OSHA certified forklift operator position to handle cargo, manufacturing, production, assembly, stocking. I have worked in many warehouses, offloading and loading trucks. I have over 30 years of experience operating forklifts that range from 5K to 30K. I am very safety oriented and pay close attention to my surroundings and work place areas.                           My professional work experience,

 

I worked for Global Marine Offshore Drilling as a roustabout, floor hand, derrick man, and Crane operator from 1977- 1985. I started working for Sonat Drilling as Crane operator and the company changed it’s name to TransOcean Offshore Drilling Inc. Later I retired from TransOcean Drilling as of 10/01/ 2010 and started working for Veolia Environmental Services, marine division as of  10/10/ 2010 in the Crane operator position. I am currently unemployed as of  8/ 17/ 2014. Veolia ES has been sold to Harkand Gulf Services LLC. My responsibilities as crane operator are as follows. Mentor and train all roustabouts and riggers for crane operations. Proper inspection of all lifting gear prior to use. Proper inspection of all pre slung equipment, and proper inspection of all lifts, tools, ect. For any possible dropped objects. Offload riser, casing, drill pipe, ect. Assist drilling operations. Assist and help all departments as needed. Operate a large variety and different types of forklifts to move and stack pallets of chemicals and 55 gallon drums for drilling fluids.

           Assist as needed of backload of all supply vessels and work with deck foreman as directed. I have filled in as deck foreman and have worked as deck foreman from the hours of 6pm. To 6am.
